Sofia Airport is Bulgaria's main airport, just 6 Km from the city center. Today, it is the airport with the most passenger traffic in the entire country (up to 2,6 million per year). Deeply renewed in 2006, thanks to funds from the European Community that allowed the opening of the 2 Terminal, giving it its current appearance. The airport has two Terminals. The 1 Metro line connects the airport with the center of Sofia in 18 minutes and residential areas like Druzhba, Mladost or those more distant like Zapaden Park e Lyulin. Serdika is the interchange station with the 2 Line. The Metro stop is located east of the 2 Terminal: just follow the blue signs inside the area. To move between the two terminals, a free shuttle works.
Tickets can be purchased at the vending machines inside the metro station. Not all accept credit cards.


There are two valid alternatives. First of all the bus 84, operating every day from 05: 00 (first race) to 00: 20 (last race) on weekdays, and from 05: 00 to 23: 20 on Sundays and holidays.
This is the path: Sofia Airport, 2 Terminal - 1 Terminal - Christopher Columbus blvd. - Tsarigradsko Shose blvd. - Gen. Gurko str and viceversa. The bus takes just over 30 minutes to make all the stops.

The bus 384 It is operational every day, including Sundays and holidays, from 05: 50 (first race) to 22: 50 by following the following path: Sofia Airport, 2 Terminal - Christopher Columbus blvd. - Prof. Tsvetan Lazarov str. - Druzhba Metro Station - Obikolna str. - Druzhba 2 and viceversa. Tickets can be purchased at resales inside the airport or at vending machines outside. A single-fare ticket, valid on all urban vehicles, is sufficient: for just 1BG (less than 1 €) you can move to the city center.
