Ile De France: what to do and see. Cities, monuments, attractions, places

An agglomeration of seven departments surrounding Paris. The Ile de France, despite being influenced by the nearby capital, still manages to retain its peculiarities, and sometimes a typically provincial appearance.

This is the case, above all, of the four departments most external to the Ville Lumiére.

But it is precisely in this region that there are some truly unique jewels: the marvelous Gothic basilica of Saint Denis; the Castle Park of Sceaux, really suggestive; the marvelous and renowned Palace of Versailles.

The Ile De France also contains wonderful parks and large and picturesque landscapes. The same ones who, many impressionists, wanted to portray in their paintings.
