To travel to the United States for business, leisure or pleasure, it is mandatory to join the Visa Waiver Program (VWP). This is the Visa-Free Travel Program that allows entry into the United States, to those who request it.

Those who meet the following requirements may be admitted to the Visa-Free Travel Program (VWP):

  • You intend to travel for tourism, or for business, for a period not exceeding 90 days.
  • Being a citizen of one of the following countries: Andorra. Australia. Austria. Belgium. Brunei. Chile. South Korea. Denmark. Estonia. Finland. France. Germany. Japan. Greece. Ireland. Iceland. Italy. Latvia. Liechtenstein. Lithuania. Luxembourg. Monaco (Principality). Norway. New Zeland. Netherlands. Portugal. Czech Republic. United Kingdom. Republic of Malta. San Marino. Singapore. Slovakia. Slovenia. Spain. Sweden. Switzerland. Taiwan. Hungary.
  • Being in possession of a valid passport, equipped with an electronic chip, also e-passport. The document, bearing the appropriate symbol on the cover, contains biometric information of the owner, to authenticate the identity.
  • Have an authorization through ESTA (Electronic System for Travel Authorization).
  • Be in possession of a return ticket or, alternatively, a transit ticket.
