The Andalusian city boasts an excellent and reliable integrated system on iron and rubber, thanks to which the center, the suburbs and the neighboring municipalities are well connected.

Not to be confused with the subway, Metro Malaga is, in reality, the company that manages the city's tramline. About 12 kilometers long, it consists of two lines: the 1 Line, red, El Perchel - Andalucia-Tech and the 2 Line, in color 2, from El Perchel a Palacio de Los Deportes. Inaugurated in July 2014, in an attempt to decongest the traffic of the Center, are characterized by a total of 18 stations. The tram is ideal for getting around Malaga.

The service is active every day, from Monday to Sunday, including holidays, with the following times and frequencies:
- From Monday to Friday from 06: 30 to 23: 00 with runs every 6, 7 and 10 minutes depending on the time slot;
- Friday and the evenings preceding holidays, from 06: 30 to 01: 30;
- Saturday, from 07: 00 to 01: 30;
- Sundays and holidays from 07: 00 to 23: 00, with runs every 10 '.
The single ticket costs 1,35 €, however are available Metro Malaga Travel Card. Operation is rather simple. Just load the credit on a special non-nominal card; this card, called PVC CARD, can be purchased at stations' stops at the cost of 1,80 € and can be loaded with denominations starting from a minimum of € 5 up to a maximum of € 25.

The road service, like trams, is extremely efficient, ideal for getting around Malaga. The service is guaranteed throughout the day thanks to 46 lines on rubber. 38 urban lines, the 92 tourist bus, the A Line Express to the Airport, 3 CIRCULAR C1, C2 and C3 lines running through the center, and 3 night buses (N1, N2 and N4) that perform night service only.
The ordinary single-fare ticket costs 1,30 €, the special one for the 3,00 € airport. It is also available the advantageous TARJETA TRANSBORDO, a carnet for 10 trips at the cost of 8,30 €.
