Thessaloniki Airport Makedonia
Thessaloniki Makedonia Airport is an international airport located near the Greek town of Mikra, about 14 kilometers south of Thessaloniki. For passenger volume, it is one of the busiest airports in all of Greece, behind only Athens and Crete-Heraklion.
The airport consists of a single terminal spread over three floors. All arrivals are located on the ground floor. On the first floor there are boarding and departures. Here, you will find the shopping areas, duty free, bars and main services. On the second floor, instead, you will find a bar and two restaurants with a panoramic area on the airport runway. Disabled people and people in need of assistance, they must contact the airline, 48 hours before departure. The wifi line is free and available in practically every area of the building.

At the exit of the Terminal, there is a bus station. The public service is offered by the Greek company KTEL which guarantees daily connections with Thessaloniki, the central railway section and Chalkidiki. The X1 line runs all day, with 30 minute frequencies. From the airport you can reach the center and the main points of interest in Thessaloniki. The full path takes about 50 minutes. Arrival is near the central train station. At night, the N1 line ensures connections. The 45 line operates at the Chalkidiki bus terminal; the 79 line reaches up to IKEA. Tickets can be purchased on board or at the automatic machines for € 2.00.
Outside, taxis are available 24 hours on 24. The trip to Thessaloniki lasts just under 30 minutes with prices that stand between 20 and 30 €. From midnight to 05: 00 in the morning, a surcharge applies. Equally, if you carry more than one baggage per traveler.
