Valuable info to know before leaving with AirBerlin.
The number of free luggage varies depending on the booking rate. The weight limit for the single baggage is 23 kg, while in the Business class it is 32 kg.
You can check the amount of free luggage at the time of booking or at a later time, or by checking the booking confirmation.
The free baggage allowance for children up to 11 years includes a hold baggage up to 23 kg (except for JustFly). The carriage of prams / pushchairs, car seats and travel cots for children traveling with an adult is free.
On each flight, you can carry a carry-on baggage with you in the cabin. The weight can be up to 8 kg and the dimensions can not exceed 55 cm x 40 cm x 23 cm. Our advice is to check the size of your hand baggage at the check-in counters.
It is also possible to bring one of the following objects into the cabin, at no extra charge (max 40 cm x 30 cm x 10 cm, 2 kg):
- a laptop bag
- a woman's purse, a woman's purse or a small men's bag
ALWAYS respect EU regulations on hand luggage for liquids: i individual containers of liquids, they must not contain more than 100 ml
Possibility of transporting a maximum of 10 containers in carry-on baggage.
Liquids must be transported in a transparent and resealable plastic bag, which may contain 1 liter at most.
Passengers traveling with fare FlyFlex or in Business class and the owners of the topbonus Gold o Platinum Card they can have a second hand baggage.
Furthermore, it is possible to carry the following items with you if the entities declared by the passenger are exemplary:
a wheelchair (to be delivered to the gate);
a pair of crutches and / or splints, other prostheses;
a doctor's case;
It is advisable to bring valuables, drugs, perishable or fragile items, ALWAYS in hand baggage.
Considering that the space for hand baggage on board is rather limited, it may happen that a question of safety is required to deliver hand baggage and restocked in the hold. This, in any case, takes place free of charge.
The amount of cabin baggage allowed is regulated by the regulations of the airline operating the flight, if one of the flights booked is operated by an airline partner of air berlin. Please consult its rules.
