WHERE: Helsingør, Denmark
WHEN: 01 - 23 August 2019
The impressive Kronborg Castle is the setting for one of the most popular theatrical events in Northern Europe: the Shakespeare Festival.
An extraordinary event between theater, music and gastronomy.
Every day, except for Monday, for three weeks, Richard III will be staged, by the genius of William Shakespeare, one of the most evil villains in theater history.
The show will be preceded by a fantastic introduction with Adam Brix, in a common thread between the English writer, Hamlet and Kronborg.
So much rhythm, and energy, from the world of King Lear, awaits you, instead, with Songs Of Lear. A fantastic project of creative research in constant evolution, in which music becomes character, relationships and events. It will be Song of the Goat Theater, fantastic ensemble of fourteen singers and a musician.
Shakespeare Festival is also an event dedicated to the pleasure of discovery and healthy eating. Picnic awaits you before the festival, at the Castle Park. Bring some blankets to lay down, and order the menu at Cafe Kadetten. You can choose between different menus, with prices from 129 to 169DKK. There are salted fish cakes, vegetarian foods and much more.
