Born in the distant 1975, and today a real icon, the Rock Werchter is one of the most famous rock festivals in Europe. From over 40 years to now, the small Belgian town suddenly moves, animating itself like a big metropolis.
The merit is above all of its rich billboard, which now boasts the presence of great international artists. It was on this stage that "warm" names of the musical scene followed, such as Talking Heads, Van Morrison, Dire Straits, Depeche Mode, Lou Reed or Neil Young.

Today, Rock Werchter is gathering more than 100.000 people, united by a passion for music, becoming one of the most important Rock festivals.

Not just any Festival, but one of the most important in the world music scene. It is no coincidence, in fact, that Rock Werchter has been awarded the title of the European Festival Awards 2016; the prestigious award was conferred for its organization, efficiency and for the line of absolute prestige.

The last edition, sold-out as usual, was particularly appreciated for the presence of major international stars: Radiohead, Foo Fighters, Linkin Park and the grandiose ones System of a Down. And, again, Alt-J, Arcade Fire, Blink 182, Kings of Leon, Lorde, The Lumineers. Naturally, the 2018 edition of Rock Werchter will not want to be outdone. Seeing is believing!



Train Station Leuven it is the connecting center to reach the festival site by public transport.

Werchter it's only 40 km from Brussels; therefore, the most comfortable method is certainly the plane. For practical info, refer to the our official guide on the Brussels-National airport.

From Brussels International Airport, at the -1 level, trains run every hour to Leuven; reached the city, the shuttle bus DE LIJN takes you less than 15 minutes to Werchter. There are two different lines of this Shuttle: Line A takes you to the stop Haacht; line B, on the other hand, is for those who are going to the A1 campsites, or to areas B and C.

Dall 'Charleroi Airport, the connection with Werchter is more complicated. At the Terminal you take the Line A Bus which takes you to the train station Charleroi Sud; from here, a first train leads to the station Brussels-North, and, subsequently, a second train leads to Leuven, where you will find it Shuttle DE LIJN.

For those wishing to reach Werchter by car, here are the distances from the main European destinations. Amsterdam is just 200 kilometers, while Paris, about 350 kilometers. From Berne, you travel about 650 kilometers, passing through France and Luxembourg. Berlin is about 750 kilometers; from Milan, instead, it takes just under 900 km to reach the destination, crossing the Gotthard Tunnel and entering Switzerland.

You have to go out to Rotselaar and then you reach Werchter.

Near the Festival there are about 15 parking areas, distributed in three large areas A, B, and C. It is not possible to move around the areas, therefore, once you enter one of these you can not park in another ; moreover, for security reasons, access to the vehicles in the Campsite areas is forbidden.


The definitive line-up of the Rock Werchter 2018 is official. Also this year, there will be great names and international artists who will perform during the 4 days of the Festival. Spotlight on the Pearl Jam motifs, on stage the 07 June, for an evening already sold-out.

And, again, Jack White, Arctic Monkeys, Gorillaz, Nine Inch Nails, Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds, Queens of the Stone Age, The Killers, David Byrne, Noel Gallagher's High Flying Birds, Franz Ferdinand, Fleet Foxes, MGMT and many others.


As per tradition, you can choose between subscriptions (recommended) and tickets valid for the single day. Obviously, remember that tickets tend to run out in a very short time. It is therefore recommended to move well in advance.

I Tickets valid for single day cost 102,00 € per person, plus taxes and fees. They are valid for one day only, on a non-modifiable date.
The subscriptionInstead, it costs 238,00 € and gives you access to all 4 days of the Rock Werchter 2018. With the subscription you will also receive a free pass on the bus or train for the Festival! Saving is obvious.
Tickets and season tickets do not include access to the Campsite for which a separate ticket has to be purchased.

Throughout the Rock Werchter area, food and drink can be bought through coupon. Each coupon costs 2,75 € if purchased with a credit card, or 3,00 € in cash. Instead, by purchasing the carnet from 20 or more coupons in advance, you will pay 2,50 € for each voucher.
