PLACE: Nuremberg, Germany
In the distant 1985, to celebrate the new version of the Nürburgring car track, a great musical event was organized. The success was such that, in the following years, the Festival was revived annually, giving life to the mythical Rock Am Ring.
A few years later, not paid, the organizers decided to do more. And they created a second event, almost similar. Same formula. Same dates and artists. With the only difference in the location.
It was Vienna that hosted the first edition of Rock Im Park, in the 1993. Not surprisingly, at the time, the event took the name of Rock Im Wien. The following years, however, was the turn of Monaco of Bavaria, before the definitive transfer to Nuremberg.
Rock Im Park, born from a rib of the Rock Am Ring, which is almost completely the same. To perform, will be the same artists of the Twin Festival, on the same dates, alternating, of course, the days. As usual, big names will perform at the Festival. Furthermore, in the central area of the Festival, the best and most varied selection of Street Food will be waiting for you, with 10 food trucks suitable for everyone .... the rockers.
HOW TO GET
Rock Im Park is housed in the Zeppelinfeld of Nuremberg, not very far from the center. The area is easily accessible, which is why the Festival is particularly appreciated by young people.
You can easily get there by train, bus and S-Bahn metro. The train station Nürnberg Frankenstadion Sonderbahnsteig, is located in the immediate vicinity. From here, the RE and RB trains pass. Along the nearby ZeppelinstrasseYou will also find the 55 and 96 bus stops.
Get off at the stop with the S2 and S3 lines of the S-Bahn Nürnberg-Dutzendteich, then continue for about 15 minutes on foot.
The city of Nuremberg is well connected to major European and non-European destinations. You can reach the beautiful German city by plane, train, car.
