In July and August, Amsterdam is tinged with rainbow. Love, respect, equality, tolerance. The Dutch capital opens its doors to the 27 July, with one of the most anticipated and evocative gay-friendly events.

Vienna. Madrid. Berlin…. To each city, its parade. Amsterdam Gay Pride, however, has a truly unique charm, thanks to the Canal Parade. And, precisely in this, it is its uniqueness. Fantastic boats that cross the placid waters of the Amstel. Unique scenographies. And that bit of madness and eccentricity, which only a Gay Pride can give away.

An event that celebrates, in over 7 days of events, love, friendship, tolerance, respect. Values ​​that do not belong to the chosen few, but to all of us. Not just LGTB.

HOW TO GET

From the main European destinations, Amsterdam can be easily reached by plane, landing at the international airport of Schiphol. From here, by public transport, you can easily reach the city center.

The beating heart of Amsterdam Gay Pride 2019, will be the central Dam Square, easily accessible on foot and by public transport. By tram and bus, you can get off at the stop of the same name. By metro, Amsterdam Centraal is a short drive away.

CANAL PARADE

It is, without a doubt, the most awaited moment of the event. Beautiful. Suggestive. Colored. Every year, the parade attracts thousands of visitors from all over the globe.
It takes place on Saturday 03, from 12: 30. It starts from the Scheepvaart museum, crossing the Amstel waters for several kilometers. The arrival time is scheduled for 17: 00.

Obviously you can attend the parade from the numerous points in the area. The best observation points are, of course, the various bridges crossed during the journey.
The Parade attracts many visitors. Assisting in the first rows can be quite difficult. You must arrive at least a couple of hours in advance!



2019 PROGRAM

From the 27 July to the 04 August, there are numerous events scheduled. Street party. Clubbing. Night Party. We can not list them all.
The most important LGTB clubs in the city open their doors to Amsterdam Gay Pride 2019.

Milkshake represents the perfect appetizer of the event. Organized by Paradiso and Club Air, it hosts many artists and DJs. Appointment at Westerpark on 27 and 28 July.

Pride Drag Queen Olympics is the extraordinary race that takes place on Friday 02, from 17, to Homomonument to Westermarkt.
Street Party, the 02 day, at Dam Square, opposite the RoyalPalace, Zeedijk, Spuistraat Prik party, and Amstelveld.

On Saturday, do not miss the Bear Necessity party, at the renowned Panama. Alternatively, there is the Gashouder ready to let loose and entertain.
