The splendid Cathedral and the Santa Maria della Scala Museum Complex in Siena will be the protagonists of the December 23 up to the 29 2017 of the splendid exhibition "The wounded beauty"; here, over 30 works saved by the earthquake of which devastated Norcia and the surrounding territory last October will be exhibited. Works, paintings, crucifixes and many other religious objects are presented to the public as found by the Fire Brigade and Civil Defense.
There will also be videos and photographic installations that will allow you to see all the phases of recovery of the works after the earthquake. The exhibition includes an itinerary through the masterpieces previously housed in basilicas, sanctuaries and parish churches.
"The Beauty Wound" is a project that aims to raise awareness of the "wound" that has affected the population of the territory and the cultural heritage, sensitizing to contributions of restoration and support to the populations affected by the earthquake.
