In the beautiful surroundings of Iceland, you can attend 4 days of shows. Besides 120 artists from 25 Countries, they will perform in the wonderful Reykjavík, proposing music ranging from electronics to alternative / rock / pop. As usual, emerging and promising artists will alternate with real stars, Icelanders and internationals.

To make the 2018 edition even more attractive, it will be the 20th birthday celebrations. The first historical concert in the 1999 has gone down in history for its incredible location: the Reykjavík airport hangar! The 2018 edition, on the other hand, will mark a return to the origins, presenting performances in any kind of place; from small bars and bookstores, to great theaters and concert halls.

Iceland Airwaves Festival is organized and produced by Iceland Music Export, and is sponsored by Icelandair, historical company, founder of the festival.

The event is also an opportunity to start discovering the Icelandic capital; a city of sure charm, which will conquer you. You can decide to visit a museum, or enjoy a fantastic skyline from the top of Hallgrimskirkja; you can go shopping in the beautiful streets of the historic center or go as far as Blue Lagoon.

The best, quickest and cheapest way to get to Reykjavik is without a doubt the plane. THE'Keflaví International Airport, after all, it is well connected to the main cities and European capitals.

Keflaví International Airport is located about 50 kilometers from Reykjavík. The city is easily reachable by bus. The excellent Airport Express allows you to easily get to the center in about 35 minutes. Prices starting from 2000 ISK (about 16 €). Reservation is recommended. Arriving in Iceland by sea, however, as it may be suggestive, can be taken into consideration if you have a lot of time available.


Iceland Airwaves Festival takes place from 07 to 10 October 2018, in different locations of the city. The lineup includes Ray Fever, Ólafur Arnalds, Eivør, Cashmere Cat, Alma Blood Orange, The Voidz, Högni, Natalie Prass, Hatari, and many others. To perform, there will be over 120 artists from 25 different countries.

The complete subscription to attend all the shows, costs 19900Kr, equal to about 160 € per person. The ticket allows access to all the shows, both during the day and in the evening
