Eleftherios Venizelos Airport Athens

From the 2001 the new airport of Eleftherios Venizelos, named after the homonymous and illustrious Greek political figure. Located just over 35 km east of Athens, it has two slopes, and an underground stop. For three years he was awarded the recognition Skytrax, which is the best airport in Southern Europe.

CONNECTION ELEFTHERIOS VENIZELOS - CENTER

Metro, rail and bus: Athens is perfectly connected and can be reached by all means of transport:
- La Line 3, located near the 4 exit of the airport, allows you to reach the center of the capital. Tickets can be purchased at vending machines or at information offices, and costs 8,00 €, for single-ride tickets and 14,00 € round-trip.
Special tickets are available for two or three people at the cost of 14 and 20 € respectively, which allow you to move from the airport to the center for the number of people selected.
The ticket must always be stamped BEFORE making the journey.
Please note: on the reverse route from the city to the airport, the latter is not always the terminus and, therefore, those who are directed to the airport ARE INVITED TO ACCELERATE ANY QUESTION;
- The so-called Proastiakos, are the suburban trains that connect the airport (terminus) with the railway station of Larissa with change at the station Ano Liossia; the ticket costs 6,00 €;
- Different buses connect the airport with the city center and, eventually, the Port of Piraeus. The bus X95, colleague Syntagma, the center of Athens, or the Parliament Square, an hour's journey. Alternatively, there are, first of all, theX92 for Kifisos, connected to the Metro stop - 2 Line (travel time: about an hour); theX96 leads to Peiraias in 90 ', and finally theX97, whose terminus is Elleniko, home of the homonymous stop of the 2 Line (journey time: 45 ').
The ticket, in all cases, costs € 5,00 for the single journey and is valid for the trip from the airport to the destination; it can be purchased directly on the vehicle, or at the metro and train stops.
