PRACTICAL INFO

HOW TO GET

Plitvice Lakes Park is located almost halfway between Zagreb and Zara. The best and most convenient way to reach the destination is by car. If you land in one of the two airports, you can rent a car directly at the airport.
From Zagreb, go south for about 140 kilometers, crossing the E65; the journey time is about two hours.
From Zara, instead, we proceed along the D1 and the A1 / E65; travel time is about 100 minutes.

Plitvice Lakes Park can also be reached by bus. You will have to use the line for PLITVIČKA JEZERA.
From Zagreb there are numerous companies that guarantee connections with the Park: Autopromet, Knezević Josip and others. The travel time is about 130 minutes with prices ranging from a minimum of 76 to a maximum of 105HRK per person.
From Zadar, the Prijevoz Knezević company offers modern and comfortable bus connections at unbelievable prices. The bus takes just over two hours to get to your destination. This is the Split-Zadar-Plitvice line. You can therefore opt for this solution also coming from Split. The price for a trip from Split to Plitvice Lakes Park costs about 22 €. Zadar is located halfway.



VISIT

The time to visit the Park can vary from a minimum of 3 to a maximum of 8 / 9 hours. You will have the possibility to choose according to your needs and time available.
At the entrance to the park, you will be provided with the brochures with the routes to follow. The various points of interest for each itinerary are indicated in detail, with the relative times and length.

TIMETABLES

Plitvice Lakes Park is open every day of the year, including Sundays and holidays, from 07: 00 to 19: 00.

Entry within 2 hours from closure is permitted. The parking closes at 21

TICKET PRICES

Plitvice Lakes

The price varies depending on the season.

Gen-Feb-Mar-Nov-Dec: adults, 55.00HRK; guys from 7 to 18 years, 35.00HRK.
April-May-Ju-September to October: adults, 150.00HRK; guys from 7 to 18 years, 80.00HRK.
July and August, for entry before 16 hours, adults, 250.00HRK and boys from 7 to 18 years, 110.00HRK. After 16, adults pay 150HRK and 50HRK boys.

By buying the tickets for two days, you can get a discounted price. The ticket allows entry for two consecutive days.

FREE ENTRY admission for children of 7 years and disabled people with recognized disability higher than 50%. It is necessary to show up at the ticket offices with a document proving the status.

The ticket offices are located at entrances I and II of the Plitvice Lakes Park. The ticket includes transport by train and by boat along the chosen itinerary.

WHERE TO SLEEP

For those who have decided to stay even for the night, there are numerous accommodation facilities near the Plitvice Lakes Park.
Pansion Breza It is an excellent quality-price solution, just 1 km from Lake Kozjak, the largest within the National Park. With a walk through the forest you can easily reach one of the entrance gates, where you can buy tickets for a boat ride on Lake Kozjak. WHEN TO GO

The best time to visit the Park is May, June and September. You will avoid the chaos of the highlights and enjoy cheaper rates. In July, we recommend visiting the Plitvice Lakes Park on weekdays; Saturday and Sunday, in general, there is chaos and large lines to boats and trains.

In August, the turnout is particularly high both on weekdays and during holidays. Our advice, in this case, is to arrive no later than the 09 in the morning.
