By purchasing the Economy Light and CLASSIC fares, you can carry, in addition to hand baggage, a hold baggage with a maximum weight of 23kg. The maximum dimensions allowed are 158 cm (length + height + depth).

The hold baggage is included FREE with the ECONOMY CLASSIC rate. However, if you have chosen to travel with Lufthansa in Economy LIGHT, you will have to pay a supplement for your checked baggage. By purchasing online, you will pay 25.00 € each way. At the airport, on the other hand, at the Lufthansa counters, the fare will be € 40.

As for the hand baggage, also in this case it is advised not to exceed the maximum weight allowed, in order to avoid the very high flat rates before take-off.

EQUIPMENT AND SPORTS BAGGAGE

You can bring sports equipment and luggage such as bicycles, golf equipment, windsurfing, skysurfing and much more to the aircraft. If the baggage does not exceed 32 kg, it is included as standard baggage; you will pay 80 € each way, to travel in Europe, up to a maximum of 250 on long-haul intercontinental flights.

For bulky luggage, which exceeds the 32 kg or the maximum length allowed, you pay the relative fare of 130 € on flights in Europe, up to a maximum of 400 € on long-haul intercontinental flights.

It is also possible to embed large packages as musical instruments, with a maximum size of 200 cm x 75 cm x 65 cm. In this case, the flat rate will be € 200 for flying in Europe, and 300 € for intercontinental flights.
