HOW TO GET
The international airport Nice-Cote d'Azur, it is less than 40 kilometers from the city, easily reachable by TER train.
The French airport is well connected, with direct flights, with the main European destinations and is the landmark of the French Riviera.
From the airport, every day, the 110 Nice Airport Express line, connects the airport with Monaco (Casino and Place d'Armes) and Menton, also passing by the Bay Hotel in Montecarlo. Every day, 14 runs daily are guaranteed, from 06: 15 to 19: 15 for the airport; from the 08: 30 to the 22: 00 in the opposite direction. The shuttle operates from Monday to Sunday and is the most convenient way to reach Menton. One-way ticket costs 22.00 € per person; return ticket costs 33.00 € instead.
The cheapest alternative is the train. After leaving the Terminal, you can walk to the nearby Nice Saint Augustin train station on foot, in about 15 minutes (baggage permitting).
Every day, connections in TER from Nice are guaranteed Gare de Menton. The train takes about 45 'to make the journey; makes several stops including Nice Ville, Villefranche sur Mer, Monaco.
Tickets can be purchased at the many vending machines. Generally, the price is € 6.60 per person, with non-modifiable rate.
Gare de Menton is the Central Railway Station, located right in the center. It is managed by the French SNCF.
The station consists of 5 binary and offers daily connections in TER with Monaco and Ventimiglia. From here, moreover, every day there is a TGV connection with the capital.
Garavan is a secondary station, a few kilometers away, and located in the homonymous Boulevard.
Reaching Menton from France, and from Europe, is quite simple. From Italy, just take a short stretch on the highway and follow the signs "Center Ville". Alternatively, from Ventimiglia, you can cross the SS1.
From Milan, you have to travel about 300 kilometers. From Turin, however, around 260, passing through Savona.
In France, Marseille is located at 230 kilometers, almost all on the motorway section.
Lyon, is 500 kilometers while, even further north, the capital is just under 1000 kilometers.
