CAR

The Romanian road and motorway network, despite the recent upgrades, is still rather lacking; especially when compared to Western Europe.
Cluj Napoca, however, is one of the main destinations in Transylvania and, as such, a must for a trip on the road. From the capital, the distance is about 450 kilometers, crossing important towns and villages of the picturesque region.

Anyone wishing to get from the rest of Europe will have to take rather long times into account.
From Budapest, it takes over 6 hours to cross the 420 kilometers away that separate the two cities.
Vienna, and Bratislava, are a little more than 600 kilometers, with travel times around 8 hours.

BUS

There are several private companies that make bus connections to Cluj Napoca.
Flixbus guarantees connections with modern and comfortable buses at extremely convenient rates. Especially in case you book early.

Atlassib, on the other hand, offers interesting long-distance connections from Italy via Vienna.
