You can move around Bratislava by bus, trolleybus and tram. The center, relatively small, can easily be walked around. Public transportation is ideal if you want to get away from the Old City.

TRAM

Nine lines linking the center and the periphery. The tram is the ideal solution to move around Bratislava. A rather efficient service with travel frequency of around 10 minutes. They are identified by a progressive number from 1 to 9, and a different color.

The service is active, every day, from 05: 00 (first run) to 23: 00 about (last run). The 6 and 7 lines only observe different times. 6 line, active from 06: 30 to 09: 00 and 15: 30 to 21: 00; the 7 line, active from 06: 45 to 09: 10 and from 14: 10 to 17: 25.

BUS AND FILOBUS

The road network is excellent to reach the suburbs and the most distant areas from the center. 13 trolleybus, 65 bus, 3 regional lines and 20 night buses. A truly incredible offer to move around Bratislava at any time of the day.

The trolleybuses are identified by a progressive number from 201 to 212 to which are added the 33 and 64 lines. Trams and 65 bus lines are running daily from 05: about 30, up to 23: 00.

The Regional bus lines (525, 801 and 901) allow you to reach areas and countries outside of Bratislava (Čierna Voda, Chorvátsky Grob, Hainburg an der Donau, Rajka, Rusovce and others).

After the 23: 30, the night bus line is active. The vehicles, identified by the letter N that precedes the numbering, circulate after the 23: 30 up to the 04: 30 of the morning. There is no surcharge for the use of night buses.

TICKETS

Tickets to travel on vehicles to move around Bratislava are classified by area and time limit. In the sun areas 100 e 101 (those within the city), temporal validity is relevant; in this case, it will be necessary to buy the ticket from 2 zone for the established time.   • 2 zone / 15 minutes: 0,70 €.
  • 2 zone / 30 minutes 0,90 €.
  • 3 zone / 60 minutes 1,20 €.
  • 4 zone / 60 minutes 1,50 €.
  • 5 zone / 90 minutes 1,80 €.
  • 6 zone / 90 minutes 2,10 €.
  • 7 zone / 120 minutes 2,30 €.
  • 8 zone / 120 minutes 2,50 €.
  • 9 zone / 150 minutes 2,80 €.
  • 10 zone / 150 minutes 3,10 €.
  • 180 minutes (all zones) 3,60 €



I day ticketsInstead, they allow unlimited travel on all buses, trolleybuses and trams within the city's 100 and 101 areas. The 24h version costs 3,50 €; from 72h, costs 8,00 €; the 168h version costs 11,40 €. For the 24h version only, the day ticket for all areas is available. It costs 6,90 € and allows unlimited travel within 24 hours in all 10 zones.

To transport bikes, animals or luggage of medium / large size (over 30x40x60) it is COMPULSORY to purchase, with the travel ticket, an additional ticket from 0,35 €; is valid for 3 hours from validation.

Over 62 and children aged 6 and 15 years, take advantage of the reduction of 50% on the ticket price.
