Getting around in Brasov
Director Autonoma de Transport Brasov (RATB) is the company that manages the transport system within the city. Buses are quite frequent and efficient; they represent an excellent solution to move around Brasov.
Public transport is also recommended if you are self-catered. The tickets are, in fact, quite cheap; therefore, we advise you to leave your car at your accommodation or, alternatively, in a parking area.
Thanks to 36 bus and 8 trolleybus lines, it is possible to move around Brasov very easily. Typically, the service is active from the 05 in the morning to the 23. There is no night service, except in exceptional cases.
Among the most interesting routes, we point out the 51 line. A circular route that runs from Livada Poştei to Piaţa Unirii. Thanks to it, you can make a sort of tour of the medieval citadella and its surroundings. Not least are the 50 and 50B lines, which cross both the center. The 20 line, for which a special ticket is required, arrives at the wonderful Poiana Brasov.
Contrary to what many may think, Brasov, like many Romanian cities with a tourist vocation, is extremely efficient. Public transport is an example. Just think that they are really modern and comfortable, many of which also have free Wi-Fi. Just go on board one of the means, use the "WiFi Digi Hall BV" connection totally free ... .. and it's done!
