Berlin Tegel is the main airport in the capital, located about 8 km north-west from the center. Many companies, every day, make direct connections with the main European and extra-European destinations.
The airport boasts the presence of 5 terminal, numerous services, shopping areas, bars, and restaurants. For the little ones, a play area is available at the C1 terminal security area. At the 0 level of the T1, instead, there is a Family Room for the needs of babies and small children. The dedicated Center is located at Terminal A, dedicated to those who need special assistance. BERLIN TEGEL LINKS - CENTER
The airport is perfectly integrated into the Berlin public transport network. Tegel is just 8 km away from the city center, easily accessible by public transport. However, there are no direct rail connections.
The fastest way to reach the center is by bus Jet TXL which leads to the Central Station (Hauptbahnhof) and the bus X9, to the Metro subway stop. They work from 5 in the morning to around midnight.

To get to the nearest metro, we recommend the bus 128 arriving at the Kurt Schumacher station of the U6 line. Berlin Tegel falls within the tariff zone B. To be able to use public transport, you will have to buy a single AB travel ticket, at the cost of 2.80 € (reduced, 1.70 €). Alternatively, the TAGESKARTE AB day ticket, in the version for one person, at the cost of 7.00 €, or for 4 people at the cost of 19.90 €. The law is also valid Berlin Welcome Card AB.
CAR AND TAXI
On site you will find many agencies to rent a car and easily reach the center. From this link, you can book your car at the best rate. The taxi rank, instead, is located at Terminal A, near the Gates 6 – 9, and outside Terminals C - E. Several companies provide connection services to the city and neighboring destinations. The prices applied are subject to standard rates, equal to approximately 4.00 € for each km traveled. Always choose official taxis, with signs, license and taximeter clearly visible. Check in advance the total fare for the trip.
LONG DISTANCE LINKS
In the absence of a direct rail link, those wishing to travel long distances will be forced to reach the center of Berlin. From the central train station, Berlin HBF, many medium and long-distance trains depart every day.
