Bangkok is the capital of Thailand, located along the Chao Phraya River, near the Gulf of Thailand; it is one of the largest cities in the world, with as many as 9 million inhabitants as well as the busiest. It is a rapidly growing city, one of the favorite tourist destinations, but with precarious infrastructures.
Bangkok is the must stop for all those who are headed to Thailand. Despite this, it is a city that offers numerous tourist attractions; you can visit the temples Wat Pho, Wat Phra Kaew (the Temple of the Emerald Buddha); the sumptuous Palazzo Reale, Wimanmek Golden Teak Palace (teak palace turned into a museum). And, again, the building Suan Pakkad, the temple of Wat Trai MiBangkok and the National Museum ...

Obviously, the plane is the means by which it is possible to reach the city from Italy.
Suvarnabhumi International Airport is the main airport in Thailand and one of the most important and busiest in Southeast Asia. It is the hub of Thai Airways International, Bangkok Airways, Orient Thai Airlines e PBair. Inaugurated in the 2006, the works began in the 2002, completed in less than 4 years, spending crazy figures and becoming the symbol of the country's political corruption.

In the beginning, it would have had to completely replace the old Don Mueang airport, which, in fact, continues to be operational (exclusively the 3 Terminal) for domestic flights. Today, Suvarnabhumi connects numerous world destinations, including Milan Malpensa and Rome Fiumicino, the only Italian cities connected with direct flights thanks to Thai Airways.

From the 2010, a double elevated fast railway line of length is connected, connecting the Suvarnabhumi airport with the center in a short time. You can choose between three different solutions:
First of all, the Train SA City line, which operates between the airport and Phaya Thai Station. Make stops at Rajaprarop Station, Makkasan Station, Ramkhanhaeng Station, Hua Maak Station, Baan Tubchang Station e Lardkrabang Station; the ticket costs from 15 to 45 THB.
Alternatively, there are the most expensive lines EXPRESS; Makkasan Express Line, is the fast railway line that connects Makkasan with the airport in only 15 minutes. One-way ticket costs 90 THB and round trip 150 THB.
Phaya Thai Express Line, arrives, however, at the Station of Phaya Thai in 17 minutes. Costs always attested on the 90 THB for the outbound and 150 for the round trip.

From the airport it is possible to take the buses directly Airport Express that run through 4 different lines and allow you to reach the nerve centers of the city. The ticket costs 150 THB.
For those who want to save, however, there are free Shuttle Bus, which lead to the "Transportation Center"; from here you can take, at lower prices, regular city buses, as well as other suburban buses for famous locations such as, for example, Pattaya.
